1. You must be 18 years old and submit an application. A form can be found here on the website. Original characters are permitted, but sparingly-- we would like a base of mostly canon characters, so this will be permitted only with very compelling applications!

2. The number of characters you are allowed to have will be determined by your ability and by the moderators.

3. Character receipt depends on the moderators and other applications. Applications should be filled out completely, thoughtfully, and with the kind of quality that can be expected in posts.

4. Any major plot points or character changes should be approved by a moderator, this includes character death. If you have a good reason for killing off your character, it will be considered very seriously. However, personal changes to characters (relationships/pregnancies/marriages) is at the discretion of the player.

5. Always, always refer to the game canon.

6. You may not attribute actions or quotes to another player's character without approval from that player. Similarly, you may not enact plots that will affect other characters in a major way without their agreement. You cannot kill any played character that is not yours without permission.

7. Good grammar and spelling are musts. Please use your spell-check.

8. Anachronisms are not allowed.

9. Scenes can be rated up to NC-17, but NC-17 scenes must be marked accordingly above the post.

10. Character consistency, canon keeping, and plot consistency are all subject to moderation.

11. You are encouraged to air grievances to the moderators, who will take action if action is needed (even if the grievances are about one of the moderators).

12. Community posts must be written in the third person. The only acceptable non-third person community posts are Owls sent between characters.

13. All personal journal posts should be written in the first person.

14. Each player must have a personal journal and at least one icon by which their character can be identified.

15. No Out of Character posts belong in the personal journal.

16. No incest or beastiality. No underage (17 is considered legal in the U.K.) sex with any character at any time for any reason.

17. We ask that all players are courteous and respectful of their fellow players and of the readers/watchers. Disrespectful or nasty discussion will lead to the player losing their game play status and their character will be given to another person.

18. If for any reason a moderator has reason to believe a member of our RPG is deliberately creating issues or causing unrest with other members, it will be the moderators' discretion to ask that member to leave at any time.

19. If we have evidence that you have been involved in activities/play/discussion with the aim to deliberately sabotage or hurt another player or the RPG, you will be immediately asked to leave or have your membership dissolved.

20. The Rules and Guidelines are subject to change at any time.

21. Breaking any of the rules above will result in moderation and possibly deletion of posts. Any post deleted will be returned to participants with the request to repair and repost.

22. Finally, players found to not be following these Guidelines at any time may be asked to leave at the discretion of the moderators.

Finally, and this is not a rule but a statement… you must participate actively in this game. This means you should feel free to suggest scenes, you should feel free to instigate and offer up scenes and ideas. Be open with your fellow players, and honest! We are all here because we want to play, and no suggestions or ideas are a bother. They are welcomed
