Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive): Neville grew up with his Gran, Augusta Longbottom, because his parents were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange. At Hogwarts, he was always picked on by Snape. Once he got into Herbology, he really--excuse the pun--blossomed. During his fifth year, he went along to the Department of Mysteries with Harry and the rest of the Gryffindor gang, and was only one left standing with Harry.

After the defeat of Voldemort, he went fully into herbology, and then decided to incorporate it into the Healing Arts. He's studied abroad for a three and a half years, working with specialists in mind healing, and has came back to London to start developing his herbology and medi-wizard talents. He's earned his license in medi-wizardry and mind-healing, and works for St. Mungo's off and on when he's not traveling.
