How do people perceive this character: People often think of one word when it comes to Marcus: brute. It's an image he has cultivated since he first started Hogwarts. He's big and dumb and a thug.
Greatest fear: Marcus isn't afraid of anything.
Greatest passion: He rather enjoyed Quidditch. Being able to legally abuse people amused him.
Aspiration: Thugs don't have aspirations.
Greatest Positive Attribute: Marcus knows exactly who and what he is. He's not over confident. He's big, but he's quick on his feet and decent enough with his wand.
Biggest Fault: Lack of wit. Lack of book smarts.
Happiest Memory: Winning the Quidditch cup at Hogwarts.
Most painful Memory: His father's death at the hands of Aurors.
Does your character value the purity of blood:Yes.
Is your character "pure-blooded," a "half-blood" or "Muggle-born": To suggest that he is anything other than of the purest blood is an insult.

Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive): The Flints are an old, pure blood family going back several generations. Unlike many of their genetic peers, they have never been either rich or clever and have become known for other aspects of their personalities, namely the brutality that seems to have been bred into them. Marcus's grandfather, Aurelius Flint, was a beater for the Tutshill Tornados and holds the records for most fouls in a single match and most fouls in a career. Augustus Flint, Marcus's father, was a Death Eater enforcer who was killed in the final battle. His mother, Eloisa Crabbe Flint, was a member of the Ministry's Werewolf Control Squad until the family's loyalties were discovered. While the Ministry could never prove that she was involved in any Death Eater activities and therefore she never spent any time in jail, Eloisa was harassed out of her job once the war was over and now lives in a small cottage in Yorkshire.
Marcus naturally followed in the brutish footsteps of his fore-bearers and used his greater bulk to bully others in school. He enjoyed playing as a chaser for the Slytherin Quidditch team and found no shame in failing his sixth year, which allowed him another year of bullying and Quidditch. He spent the summer between his repeated years studying on the continent with a tutor that came highly recommended to his mother and finished his second sixth year with ease.
Marcus was recruited to the Death Eaters shortly after Voldemort's resurrection. In fact, he's quite proud to have been one of the first in his generation to take the mark. He served Voldemort faithfully for the three years of his second reign of terror as a strong fist. He was one of the ones that snagged Percy Weasley and while he did not have the pleasure of killing either Weasley or the witch he had been with, he did enjoy roughing the prat up a bit before delivering him to his master. As with the other Death Eaters, Marcus was rounded up shortly after the final battle. As to why he's not in Azkaban, no one's really sure, and if Marcus knows, he's not telling. However there are currently no warrants for his arrest.
After the war, Marcus naturally fell in with the less than respectable wizarding crowd, where he met Chance Proctor (VR: Kyle Gallner), a young bookie who worked down Knockturn Alley. Chance immediately saw the benefit of having someone of Marcus's size on his side and offered him a chunk of the profits in exchange for his services. Their mutually beneficial arrangement has lasted to this day, with Chance laying the odds and finding new and diverse things to bet on and Marcus taking the bets and acting as enforcer. They are currently the most successful set of bookies in Knockturn Alley.
The first thing he did with his share of the money was to buy himself new teeth. Most of the rest of his share gets sent to his mother to bolster the small stipend she gets from the Ministry for her "early retirement". Marcus keeps only enough to live on. He has a small apartment in Knockturn and enough petty cash for food, the odd clothing replacement, and the occasional indulgence. He's not a complicated man and doesn't need any more than the necessities and a good broom (his other major indulgence in life is a Cleansweep Twelve).
Every secret society has it's thugs and the Liberi is no exception. Marcus was recruited over a year ago by the Liberi. So far they have not needed him to take care of any problems, but he hopes that will change soon. Chance was recruited at the same time due to the debts he could collect from out of pocket wizards and witches. The Liberi secretly arranges a few creature fights a year to recompense him for the thousands of galleons he loses when he accepts a Ministry vote instead of the money he is owed.
Marcus doesn't know who the Glorious Mother is, and he doesn't care. He knows his place in life and the inner circle will never be part of it.
Profession: Illegal bookie. If it can be bet on, Marcus will have the odds.

Marcus' visual representation is Karl Urban.
