Physical description: Reddish-brown hair, pale green eyes. Girlish looks that make people suspect she is younger than she actually is, but Astoria just turned 21.

Personal Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): None, though you might say Astoria's true devotion is to her sister
How do people perceive this character: A darling little idiot and a bit of a brat when she does not get her way. Cold and distant.
Greatest fear: Having the lie their father told her of her big sister's death come to pass.
Greatest passion: She has not exactly figured that out yet. 
Aspiration: See above.
Greatest Positive Attribute: In her eyes - it is her innocent-looking face, but Astoria is actually a decent diplomat despite being sheltered and treated like a trained dog most of her life. She is also very good and getting things accomplished. 
Biggest Fault: She can be a brat - a big one. She does not really know how to have any fun. She's far too serious and proper for that. She seems cold upon first meetings.
Happiest Memory: Playing Hide-n-seek in the gardens of the Greengrass Estate as a child with her elder sister. Finding out her husband did not want to touch her because he was not interested in girls.
Most painful Memory: She has several - like having to leave England and go to Durmstrang, even though she made some friends once there - they were not her sister. She also hurts because their parents lied to her about Daphne and she knew it and knew Daphne did not - still does not. Astoria does not understand what was so bad about her sister that they had to lie like that just to get her away from Daphne. The death of Aleksey, her best friend and husband, is also quite painful.

Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive): Astoria Violet Greengrass Dolohov was groomed from an early age to be a pureblooded trophy wife. When she was thirteen, at the start of Astoria's third year, she was sent away to Durmstrang. Her parents told her it was because her sister had been killed and they wanted her safe. In turn, they told Daphne that Astoria had been killed in an accident. Really this was because Devlin Greengrass could see his elder daughter was a "problem" and did not want Astoria "tainted" by Daphne. Astoria is very knowing about people sometimes though. She knew she was being lied to. She knows Daphne is still alive and in trouble. She isn't really sure HOW she knows this though - she just has a feeling.

When she was fifteen, her father got a special license to marry her off to Aleksey Dolohov, the son of Death Eater Antonin Dolohov and a Death Eater himself. Astoria was horrified. He was several years older than her and used to be friends with Viktor Krum until the war started. Aleksey was not interested in Astoria though and never touched her in a husband and wife way - to her relief. They became friends. Good friends, best friends. They gave the appearance of being happily married, but he was seeing someone else on the side very discreetly. Aleksey was killed in the last battle. Astoria mourned her friend. She vows she will never marry again. She does not see the need. She fulfilled her "obligations".

Astoria "sees" things sometimes. She has dreams about things she could not possibly know, places she has never been. She tries to ignore that most of the time. Dignified ladies don't have things like that happen to them, so Astoria refuses to believe it. She has never spoken of this to anyone. In fact, no one knows - or so she thinks.
